Carlos Alcaraz cruised into the quarter-finals of Indian Wells with a 6-3 6-3 win over Fabian Marozsan.

Alcaraz is the highest seed left in the men’s draw following Novak Djokovic’s shock defeat to world No 123 Luca Nardi and is favourite to defend his title from last year.

The 20-year-old will play Alex de Minaur or Alexander Zverev in the last eight on Thursday.
